AFP Seeks Board of Directors Candidates
AFP is currently accepting applications for several volunteer Board of Directors positions. We are seeking strategic, growth-oriented, corporate practitioner members with a demonstrated passion for AFP’s mission.
- A demonstrated commitment to professional development (self and/or teams).
- Relevant volunteer experience, particularly service on AFP committees, task forces or regional association boards.
- Experience leading teams or programs, whether in formal or informal capacities.
- Industry conference presentation, publication, podcast, panelist and/or other speaking or writing experience.
- International and/or overseas experience.
- Hold AFP’s CTP and/or FPAC certification(s).

The AFP Board of Directors is composed of accomplished corporate practitioners who provide strategic leadership and guidance to support AFP’s mission, vision, and long-term growth. Board members work collaboratively with fellow volunteer leaders and AFP staff executives to help shape the future of the treasury and finance profession while ensuring AFP continues to deliver meaningful value to its global member community.
Board Members contribute their expertise and industry perspectives to help guide organizational strategy, governance, professional development initiatives, educational programming, and member engagement efforts. Through both virtual and in-person meetings throughout the year, Board members play a critical role in advancing AFP’s impact and supporting the evolving needs of treasury and finance professionals.

- A biographical sketch highlighting relevant volunteer experience
- A current resume, including a summary of key responsibilities
- A letter of recommendation from an immediate supervisor
- Information about the candidate’s employer (e.g., annual report)
