Indy is on the Rise
Located in the heart of the country, Indianapolis is easily accessible from both coasts and drivable within the Midwest. For those flying, you’ll land at the "Best Airport in North America” according to Airports Council International. From there, a short 15-minute ride gets you to the stunning JW Marriott in the heart of the city.
From the JW Marriott, Forum attendees can stroll across the street to White River State Park where they'll encounter a wide range of activities, including:
- Take a morning walk or run on the scenic Central Canal (or take a gondola ride).
- For those with family or an extra day, consider visiting one of the many attractions in the park including the Indianapolis Zoo, Indiana State Museum or Eiteljorg Museum.
In the evening, Indy’s culinary scene will delight your taste buds.
- To make choosing easy, check out Visit Indy’s “25 Best Restaurants” list.
- For iconic dishes, try the spicy shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo, the piled-high Reuben at Shapiro’s, or a gargantuan pork tenderloin (available just about everywhere).
At night, try exploring these entertainment districts and discover cocktail bars, breweries and entertainment.
- Bottleworks District - A one-stop shop for dining and entertainment with art-deco architecture.
- Fountain Fletcher - Where the locals hang for live music and some the city’s best dining.
- Mass Ave - The avenue is lined with local shopping, taverns and entertainment.
- Pacers vs. Lakers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, March 25
If you have a need for speed, take a short ride to Speedway (yes, that is the actual name of the town) and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where you can tour newly redesigned museum or take in Main Street.
Indianapolis looks forward to welcoming the AFP FP&A Forum with their signature Hoosier Hospitality. To learn more about to see, do and eat, go to VisitIndy.com.
